People get full of excitement when they know the latest film is coming out. The anticipation is so great. It used to be that you had to wait to see the trailer on television, eagerly catching a glimpse. Then, you had to stand in line for a really long time to be one of the first to see it. Once you got through the line (and if it had not sold out), you were crammed into a theater with a ton of people. All of them are usually excited but not all of them are typically very considerate. Paths of Glory is a 1957 war film about the fallibility of human judgment and questioning the value of a life. Stanley Kubrick directed the film, prompted by his vivid memories of reading the novel written by Humphrey Cobb for school. The film turned out to be a controversial affair, nationally, and on foreign shores. Coupled with the tale’s moral itself, this cultural prejudice against the movie’s depiction of war proved to be the greatest irony of all.

A Matt Damon movie, the Green Zone is somewhat similar to his Bourne series of films. This movie is action packed just like the Bourne movies but instead of a spy thriller, it is a war drama. It’s set in 2003 and Damon and his team are searching for WMDs weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. This films name refers to the area set up around the government grounds of the one time leader of the people of Iraq, Saddam Hussein’s palace also known as the Emerald City.
