The Tanglewood Guitar – An Acoustic Miracle July 18, 2010

The Tanglewood Guitar Company was established in the UK in 1991. During 2006 and the subsequent year, they manufactured the best-selling brand of acoustic guitar in the UK and Ireland. Although they began by only catering for the UK and Ireland, they later began to supply to the US. In 2007 and the two years following, they were ranked No.1 in best-selling acoustic guitar brand in a survey carried out by MI Pro.

Some of the UK’s most competent luthiers work on designing their instruments. Besides this, some of the finest quality tone woods and meticulous craftsmanship also play a part in their overall superb quality. Every one of their guitars is set-up and checked in the UK and then re-checked by BBZ guitars. This is all carried out before they are made available to the public so that by the time they are played at home, they are in perfect condition.

The Tanglewood range includes acoustic, electro acoustic and bass guitars in numerous sizes and they are all of supreme quality. They include Folk, Super Folk, Parlour, Jumbo and Dreadnought and are available in series such as Sundance, Evolution, Premier and Heritage. Whatever budget or experience, they have something to suit.

At the heart of the company lies the acoustic guitar, proven by the fact that they are the only Tanglewood guitar available in the US. They are available in a wide and diverse range, however, from entry-level to professional all-solid. They are also available in a range of body shapes, adornments and finishes.

One of the company’s main strengths is in its customer service and their reaction to feedback from the customer. It is in listening and taking suggestions from their customer base that have allowed them to improve their models so often. Even though the acoustic guitar will always be their core product, it is this open-mindedness that have allowed them to branch out into being successful in designing and producing electric and bass guitars also.
