The Panasonic Viera TX-P50G10 – Worth Considering June 28, 2010
The Panasonic TX-P50G10 is the latest release from Panasonic. It is their latest 50″ TV that is considered in the mid-range for pricing, which is nice for a lot of people looking to buy their first plasma TV and one that has a big screen for all those TV junkies, especially the sports fanatic.
It’s HDTV ready screen with it’s 1920 x 1080 pixels is one of it’s most eye catching features. With a near perfect viewing angles and it’s claim to being one of the lowest energy users of any of the other plasmas on the market.
A lot of other plasmas have had problems with displaying motion well, but the Panasonic TX-P50G10 has resolved that problem with it’s new technology that captures movement and quick motion in just a fraction of a second. By doing this movies with lots of fast action and live sporting events are shown flawlessly and motion is fluid and lifelike. The quality of the imaging is largely do in part by it’s natural vision filter and what is called the intelligent frame creation. It’s rapid progression of images is due to it’s ability to incredibly fast refreshing ability.
To ensure that the color is at it’s utmost, the Panasonic TX-P50G10 has what is called a double scan which helps to ensure that color transitions are mainly gradual and unnoticeable to the naked eye. Along with the exceptional picture this TV gives off due to mostly it’s processing engine called the Vreal4 it has exceptional audio as well.
The Panasonic TX-P50G10 also claims to have what they call a “tough screen” which means that it can hold up to small blows to the actual TV screen without fear of damage. This is a good thing, especially for the person who might have kids.
There have been special tests run on the Panasonic TX-P50G10 to check it’s clarity, contrast and sharpness. When it came to watching a television program, it performed beautifully, but when a DVD was played, there seemed to be a little bit of flickering going on.
Now, when the clarity and the overall sharpness was put to critical testing, the variances were minimal and tested nearly perfect in scoring. And when the contrast was tested, it came out with a perfect score. Overall testing proved that this model has extremely high overall picture quality.
If you are looking for a television that offers you a variety of features, you’re not going to find that with the Panasonic TX-P50G10. Instead the only thing extra that it offers is an SD card reader where it can read different memory cards for jpegs and some videos.
This newest addition to the Panasonic Plasma TV family may be lacking in a variety of features but it is set up to accept all types of television broadcasts that are available today, meaning no type of conversions are needed. So, if you are not concerned with tons of features and more interested in great picture quality on a large screen plasma TV, then the Panasonic TX-P50G10 is probably just what you are looking for.
