Be it a lovely eve with a deary or a fun-filled eve with your loved ones, a comical movie is something that can always assure you of a quality time. Animated version of a funny movie not only assures you of a quality time but of tickling out the hidden child in you. Voices rendered by professionals such as Will Smith, Jack Black, Renee Zellweger, Angelina Jolie, Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro enliven the roles of every animated character in the movie.

Shark Tale (2004) is one such entertaining animated movie. The story of Shark Tale revolves around a small fish (voice by Will Smith) named Oscar. This small fish that performs the life-threatening job of tongue washer for whales is not only a bold but ambitious kind of fish. Oscar dreams big of receiving a pot of gold that will not only clear off his debts that he owes to his boss Sykes (Martin Scorsese) but will make his every possible leisured wish come true.

Oscar’s closest pal, Angie (Renee Zellweger) comes to his aid by offering to pawn her precious heirloom and provide him with the money to repay his debt. Oscar’s set to deliver the money to Sykes at the race-track when he’s overwhelmed by the sights and activities of his surroundings and succumbs to the urge of betting on a race horse. Lola (Angelina Jolie), a gorgeous lion fish, notices Oscar’s large bet and comes over to flirt with him, learning the truth in the process.

Oscar loses all the money that he was betting on in the horse race and becomes tensed about the potential consequences that may follow when he won’t be able to repay his debt. In the midst of all these tensions, Oscar faces a tough situation when he is confronted by Lenny (Jack Black) and his brother Frankie (Michael Imperioli).

As Lenny prepares to attack (well almost) Oscar as per the orders of his elder brother Frankie, Lenny manages to rescue Oscar from this troublesome situation. Frankie notices the intentions of Lenny of disobeying him and charges towards Lenny. An anchor hits Frankie accidentally and he dies. Lenny runs off from the spot and Oscar by the turn of fate wins the title of ‘Shark slayer’.

Oscar’s dream of becoming rich comes true. But all this leisure and luxury has a price attached with it that Oscar did not observe. It was the revengeful attitude of Don Lino (Robert De Niro), father of Frankie and Lenny that was on fire and intended to finish off the life of Oscar. Oscar in his personal life faces turmoil as Angie senses the betrayal.
