It appears that rumors of a musical collaboration between two huge UK music stars could well be true. The rumors concern former X-Factor winner Leona Lewis and ex-boyband member Robbie Williams. According to some reports the two singers have been working on two new songs together and might even release a studio single.

Robbie Williams’ appearance on X-Factor wasn’t widely regarded as a success mainly because he ended forgetting some of the words to his hit song Angels. Despite his apparent forgetfulness, the singer has still had a very successful comeback. His album went in at number 2 in the UK album chart and his single Bodies also had strong chart positions in the UK singles chart.

If the reports are to be believed then the two tracks will appear on the re-release of the second Leona Lewis album. The album has been planned for re-release as Leona Lewis has recorded the track for one of the highest grossing movies of all time, the 3D movie Avatar. Some reports are even suggesting that Robbie Williams will appear with Leona on her tour in the summer of 2010.

On top of working so closely with Leona Lewis, a different sort of rumor concerning Williams has been in circulation: it’s been said that Simon Cowell is looking to obtain Williams as a new member of the X Factor’s judging panel. According to sources close to the star, Robbie Williams has confirmed that he would consider taking the role to become a judge on the reality TV show.

Singer Leona was propelled to fame when she won the X-Factor competition. She has since gone onto have huge success in the USA and the UK charts. The collaboration between her and Robbie Williams could prove to be a goldmine for Simon Cowell. Rumors persist that he will use the X-Factor platform to heavily promote the duet between the pair.
