Lost: The Complete Series June 11, 2010
ABC’s Lost is right up there with Carnivale, Six Feet Under, and Weeds as one of the very best TV programs of the 21st century! As a guy who has already seen every episode of every season of Lost, I’m am still considering buying the entire collection of Lost on Blu-Ray because this is the kind of show that will be great to watch a second time (and there’s a lot of awesome extra features included with the complete collection.)
If you’re new to Lost then I am jealous of you to be able to experience it for the very first time. It is really that good, I’m serious. It’s the type of TV series that you are probably going to fondly remember for the rest of your life.
To get the most out of watching Lost for the first time you really want to order the complete Lost collection and then avoid all spoilers as much as you can. A great part of this series is having the “mysteries of the island” slowly unraveled in incredibly unexpected ways. Do not screw that up by looking up things about the show!
Also it’s important to view it from start to finish in order. This is a real “serial” show where every single episode leads into the next. It is all “one story” instead of a show where every episode has it’s own start and finish.
I should warn you that this series is extremely addictive and that if you like it anywhere near as much as I do that you may find yourself watching seven episodes in just one sitting (and yes I actually did that on more than one occasion!) It’s one of those things where every episode ends on an unbearable cliffhanger that really has you needing to know what happens on the next episode.
I must also really mention that this is a thinking person’s show. What is going on will not always be overly obvious. If you’re looking fors predictable entertainment, you should definitely look elsewhere. You will have to make use of your brain when you watch this amazing TV series.
Three Other Shows To Watch now that Lost is done.
