Seize the Day – Williams is outstanding as Tommy Wilhelm, turning 40 and a disappointment by any standard, he is insolvent, damaged and hopeless for love. Wiseman and Stiller offer fine assistance as his cold hearted dad and a con man he naively believes in. Lots of familiar faces in tiny roles – Tony Roberts, Richard Shull, John Fiedler, Jo Van Fleet, William Hickey, Eileen Heckart, and numerous others. The Manchurian Candidate – A modern day adaptation of the’62 movie. Decorated war hero Raymond Shaw is now positioned to become the Vice President of the US. His Mother, Senator Eleanor Shaw is pulling all the political strings. A drawback is developing for her plans. Major Bennett Marco, a member of Raymond’s platoon is starting to mistrust the events of the day Raymond saved the platoon. Marco is battling an uphill battle, but can’t resist the nagging feeling that something is not right.

AI Artificial Intelligence – In the near future, scientist Hurt and his team create a highly advanced android kid who might feel feelings, containing love. His adoption by a nice couple who have lost a child is riddled with complications. This riveting story draws us in, thanks in part to Osment’s wonderful performance. Cast includes Haley Joel Osment, Jude Law, Frances O’Connor, Brendan Gleeson, Sam Robards, William Hurt, Jake Thomas, Ken Leung, Michael Mantell, and Adrian Grenier. (145 minutes, 2001)
