Carlos Free July 28, 2010

Carlos is a great film worth watching! It’s a warm welcome to the director and can well familiarize himself little further. The main idea of the film is centering about the Marxist revolutionary. The main character of the movie is Edgar Ramirez who plays the Carlos role and coincidentally the role in Che. Ramirez has brilliantly worked in this movie and had a great chance to chine in the United States but he can’t convince much of the local audiences. However, there is great raise in his profile as he improved himself as a dedicated worker and better performance as man who loses revolutionary minds and enjoys himself with greater money, women and weapons.

Carlos is pictured as a pathetic man who enjoys his own personal vision. At the beginning scene, he was shown as a worker for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. Everything changes as the movie proceeds further. Next scene is changed into a hired gun but there were no scenes to realize it. He goes to the side of evil, the country that offers him greatest money, pleasure and protection.

Carlo’s character as a pathetic man is fantastically performed having personal vision and dedicated hero who fights for one’s mission. At the earlier scene he has shown as a work man in Popular front for the Liberation of Palestine and the full screen play changes as the movie goes further. Soon the hero is shifted into a hired gun and the better thing is such a transformation not even noticed by the hero. He indulges in the anti social activities and helps the country which provided him greater money, protection and pleasure.

Numerous miscalculation that does not support the progression of the movie and do not support the narrative. The characters were very well established and third part is very longest part of all the parts and you need more patience to see the entire movie.

The director’s inspiration on music provides no meaning in the songs and does not aid much in narrative. As the whole, Assayas and his team had tried to give an aggressive performance but his pain has not much reward.
