Band Releases Any Music Lover Shouldn’t Desire To Miss Out On April 28, 2012
If you were to ask me which month of 2011 had the best new music so far, it would be a hard question to answer. Still, part of me can say with confidence that it was probably August. There was so much good stuff produced during this month that it would be hard to proclaim any month as better as far as music goes.
I know you’re probably wondering which releases I’m specifically talking about, so it’s time for me to name a few. Due to time constraints I’m only going to share three here, but you’ll be more than happy to have discovered any of these three once you hear them.
At number 3, I have to go with Ry Cooder’s Pull Up Some Dust And Sit Down. You have to be into his style of countryish music, but this album is a masterpiece.
Looking for something more rock oriented? Then go with Stephen Malkmus, as Mirror Traffic is yet another great piece of music created by the former Pavement leader. High marks all around for this one.
No album hooked me more than Skying by The Horrors though. This is a must listen if you haven’t heard it yet.
The remainder of the year is almost just as exciting as August was. There’s a lot of good stuff to anxiously anticipate and this will take place across the entire music spectrum.
Indie lovers can’t wait for Wilco to drop its next LP, and it’s going to happen soon. Will they produce another Yankee Hotel Foxtrot?
If pop is more of your thing, American Idol champ Scotty McCreery’s debut will hit shelves, as will new music from rockers Evanescence and even Blink 182, who have somehow staged one of the unlikeliest comebacks around.
Keep an eye out for all of this great music, and enjoy it all too.
