Here’s a commanding film with awesome action, particularly by Carlin and Cassel. Cast includes John Marley, Gena Rowlands, Lynn Carlin, Seymour Cassel, Fred Draper, and Val Avery. The Gorgon: In 19th-century Balkan village, one of the snake-headed Gorgons still subsists, turning her sufferers to rock-hut who is she by night? Cast includes Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Richard Pasco, Barbara Shelley, and Michael Goodwin. (83 minutes, 1964)

Hannibal Brooks: Delightful yet forgettable film of British prisoner of war Reed ordered to take a priceless elephant to the Munich Zoo during WW2. Made to go on foot, he turns trip into a plan to make an escape. Cast includes Oliver Reed, Michael J. Pollard, Wolfgang Preiss, Helmut Lohner, Karin Baal, and Peter Karsten. (101 minutes, 1969)

The Mark of the Renegade: Vibrant venture, based on a tale by Zorro founder Johnston McCulley, set in 1820s California, then part of Mexico. Streaking Montalban is sent to Los Angeles, which has been besieged by pirates, on a mission that additionally demands him to romance the attractive Clarisse. Forget the structure, just like the cast, good looking costumes, Clarisse’s spicy dance number, and the innovation for 1951 of a Latino as a leading gentleman. Is this real, or is this his fantasy vacation?

Shadow-lands: Soaking up story of British author C. S. Lewis the Lion, The Sorcerer and the Closet whose content if firm life as an Oxford don in the 1950s is rattled by his meeting with a forthright American poet. Knowledgeable and moving, with Hopkins in summit form and Winger his match; the aiding performers are excellent. This was filmed on location at Oxford. Cast includes Richard Attenborough, Anthony Hopkins, Debra Winger, Edward Hardwick, Michael Denison, Joseph Mazzello, John Wood, Robert Fleming, and Peter Howell. (130 minutes, 1993)

Sea Wife: Disarming yam of Burton and Collins subsisting a torpedoed transport. He falls in love with her, not knowing she’s a nun. Set throughout WW2. Cast includes Richard Burton, Joan Collins, Basil Sydney, and Ronald Squire. (82 minutes, 1957)
