Hannah Takes The Stairs: This film is every bit as unfocused and self-indulgent as its eponymous heroine. It’s a Chicago production organization wage earner gratingly played by Gerwig who drifts through a succession of short-lived relations that aren’t romances so much as one night stands. Cast includes Greta Gerwig, Kent Osborne, Andrew Bujalski, Ry Russo, and Mark Duplass. (83 minutes, 2007)

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: The Clone Wars rage on all throughout the galaxy. The Jedi-Knights are doing all they can to keep things under control. The dark side is gaining in power. Anakin Skywalker is on a mission that will have huge ramifications if successful. Meanwhile, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Master Yoda are leading a huge clone army, hoping to stop the dark side from advancing.

Rocky 5: Rocky Balboa is back at it in the 5th installation of this never ending series of fight films following the rags to riches hero’s entire career. Dementia Thirteen: Gory terror film set before the operation that changed her life. This is one of the more unique yet strange romantic comedies of our time. The film is kept on target by the quality acting of Mackintosh, who pulls off a difficult role. Cast includes William Campbell, Luana Anders, Bart Patton, Mary Mitchel, and Patrick Magee. (81 minutes, 1963)

Prom Night: This is about exacting revenge on the boys who were accountable for the mortality of a little girl 6 years before. Not the poorest of its type, although that’s nothing to boast about. Cast includes Leslie Nielsen, Jamie Lee Curtis, Casey Stevens, Antoinette Bower, and Robert Silverman. (91 minutes, 1980)

All at Sea: Strong comedy that keeps its own all the way through. Guinness is adorable as sailor who couldn’t bear the sight of water although purchases rundown home on a wharf, turning it into an entertainment palace. Original title was Barnacle Bill. Cast includes Alec Guinness, Irene Browne, Percy Herbert, and Harold Goodwin. (87 minutes, 1957)

Noel: Ambitious tear jerker in regards to the interactions of scared, susceptible buddies, lovers, colleagues, and outsiders on Christmas Eve. A lonely novel editor (Sarandon) whose mom suffers from Alzheimer’s, a cop Stroller whose unreasonable jealousy is restraining his fiance Cruz, and a heartbroken waiter Arkin with a odd rebirth fantasy. Gets better as it goes along, it zeros in on issues of acceptance and reconciliation. Cast includes Penelope Cruz, Susan Sarandon, Paul Stroller, Alan Arkin, Marcus Thomas, Chazz Palminteri, Chantal Lonergan, and Erika Rosenbau. (88 minutes, 2004)
