Thanks to the most recent firmware up-grade on the Blu Ray HD Players, those earlier reviews about the players audio constraints have been worked out. Almost overnight, the BD-UP5000 has gone from a poor player, to one of the best Blu Ray HD Players on the market. It always had a sharp picture, for both Blu Ray and HD DVD, but now handles the most recent audio codecs to.

With all the Blu Ray HD Players on the market, this player is now almost faultless! The HQV Reon gives a fantastic experience from your earlier DVD stack, and the device supports Blu-ray and HD-DVD format at its local 1080p 24fps with advanced audio. Coupled with these upgraded features it just can not get any advanced than that!

The price ticket on Blu Ray HD Players was around $800 back in 2008, which was a reasonable price if you didn’t need to restrict your home movie collection to one side of the home movie war. When HD-DVD lost the war, the Blu Ray HD Players price dropped significantly and became competitively priced even against basic Blu-ray players. However, the price might be coming back up now that the audio issues are fixed.

If you’re just entering the HD movie market, these units are an excellent choice. If you already have an HD-DVD movie libary, then Blu Ray HD Players is a must-have!
